This half day (3 hours) course, recommended by HSE provides the first Aider with an opportunity to practice their first aid during
their 3 year qualification period.
Who should attend?
This course is intended for all those holding a First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work (Appointed Persons) qualification.
Why attend?
This course will reinforce skills currently held and build on existing knowledge/confidence which both rapidly deteriorate without use.
Practical course covering how to
- assess the situation in an emergency;
- administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure);
- administer CPR;
- administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding;
- administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
