We now work in a more co-operative, empowered environment in which those leading volunteer services and organisations must involve and draw on the expertise and experience of different individuals, harness people's enthusiasm and scepticism and increasingly manage relationships with stakeholders. Consequently, they need to adopt a facilitative approach for much of the time.
In this practical one day Workshop, Tony Mann, the author of two books on Facilitation, will introduce you to 'Facilitation as the management style' for those in the voluntary sector. He will show you an exceptional facilitation approach, which focuses on 'outcomes' and 'deliverables'. Tony will demonstrate a range of techniques, which will give you some new 'tools' to tackle problems and find creative solutions. You will see for your self how facilitation can be used and begin to recognise the power of this approach.
He will convince you that facilitation can deliver results and use the expertise and input of groups of people in a participative and engaging way.
