An introduction for voluntary and community group members on how to promote your organisation and its activities particularly on the web.
This course is aimed at anyone active in their community or voluntary group especially those concerned with publicity, membership recruitment or promotion.
Course content
How to get your organisation on the web quickly, easily and cheaply – this is aimed at people with little or no experience of dealing with websites – looking at ways to use weblogs and social networking sites to get a presence on the web
A quick introduction to using the media – press releases, press conferences – looking at how to get your story in the newspapers and on the radio
