The course will help you to:
Look at how individuals allocate their time, and how they decide what is urgent and what is important (There is a difference).
Time management works at a number of levels. Level 1 is how we use the time we have. Level 2 is how we decide what we want, and more problematically, how we sometimes prevent ourselves getting what we want – the pressures on us that prevent us using our time to achieve what we want.
This aspect of time management links with assertiveness and is often about saying "no". Level 3 is action planning and leads us into the realm of the personal development plan - what we need to do next in order to achieve what is important to us.
The day's course will take people through the process of working out what's important, how not to get sidetracked, and how to gain commitment to an action plan.
