As the first person that visitors meet, receptionists have to be professional, efficient, quick-thinking, conflict-managing problem-solvers. The receptionist who can do all this – often while answering the telephone – is an asset to any organisation.

 

This course will help you to:

  • Understand the role of the receptionist and how visitors see you
  • Use questioning skills to accurately identify the needs of the visitor
  • Juggle tasks without losing your cool
  • Handle difficult customers and defuse anger
  • 'Signpost' effectively and accurately.

This course is suitable for people who act as the visitors first point of contact, whatever their job title.
