This practical course is for anyone who either takes minutes as part of their work, gets frustrated by poor minutes or would like to develop minute-taking skills. It looks at why minutes are important, what they should include and how to use minutes to promote action. By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Recognise why minutes are important and how they are used
- Identify good and poor minutes of meetings
- Demonstrate what to include in minutes
- Recognise how to use minutes to promote action beyond meetings
- Feel more confident about taking minutes in meetings
