About Our Training

CVS Training, based at Bradford CVS, provide  training for the voluntary and community sector in Bradford District.

Our training is tailored to the voluntary and community sector and our open courses provide an opportunity for staff and volunteers from different organisations to learn together and share examples of good practice.  Case Studies and learning materials are relevant to the sector.

We will state on the course page if any prior knowldege is needed or if the course is offered at a particular level.

We can also provide tailored in-house training for staff and volunteers and for boards and management committees.

Offering free and low-cost training

We are part-funded by Bradford Council to deliver a training programme for the voluntary and community sector in Bradford.  We provide free governance training for boards and committees of small organisations and we make a charge for most other courses unless we have other funding to support the cost of the course. We  use experienced trainers to offer good quality courses. To keep costs as low as we can we use our own training room and other community venues, we don't provide lunch (unless stated in the course details) and we send out most of our correspondence electronically.   We are a part-time team so we are not always able to answer late queries about courses.  We advise early booking as we need to give our trainers notice if we do not have enough bookings to cover the cost of the course.
